Eco House

This home is situated in an extremely cold climate, in the Southern Drakensberg. It is intended to be a tiny, off-the-grid home. It uses strawbale walls for maximum insulation, a small sun room to trap the heat of the sun and narrow, vertical windows to maximize light and minimize heat-loss. The house uses natural materials in a contemporary way and encourages compact living.
